Are you ready for Spring yet?  I certainly am!  Although I can never complain about the winters in North Carolina after living in snow country most of my life, I'm over this weather.  Ironically, I'm posting about decorating clay pots for Spring when we are currently in the middle of "snowpocalypse" here in the South.  If you're feeling the same way about Winter, then hopefully this little project will cheer you up...

Fourth of July Birthday Bash!

My youngest daughter, Summer, has a birthday right after the 4th of July so the two celebrations tend to get combined!  Although she's a couple weeks away from turning 3, I thought I'd share our family's get-together from her first birthday in case you were looking for some inspiration for your upcoming 4th of July bash... 

Simple Summer Soiree and French Bee Dining Set

One of the reasons that we were drawn to our current home is the beautiful wooded view beyond our backyard.  Luckily, much of our lot extends back into the woods and the property line backs up to a private, natural buffer that cannot be developed.  It's a beautiful place to build a tree house, explore with the kids...or to have a little summertime soiree!

Baby Boy Shower

I recently returned to the workforce as a financial analyst and one of the things that I've missed so much the last few years staying home with the kids is the kind of adult interaction that you get working together in teams with really great people.  I'm fortunate enough to be in great department with a couple of gals that are fun to be around.  One of them is due to have a little baby boy in June and I had the pleasure to help plan and throw a "work" baby shower.  We had so much fun coming up with ideas and setting up that I wanted to share some of the fun with you...
