I have a special treat for you today! I mentioned several months ago that my mom and step-dad made the move across the country and were in the process of building a home. I'm excited to say that they are closing on their beautiful house this week (which I'll share later). In the meantime, I had the opportunity to take some pictures of the beautiful equestrian barn and apartment in their new subdivision.
This only shows about half the barn from the outside...it is huge! Don't you love those lights?
Cupolas and weathervanes...more things I love! Just wait until you see inside...
As you walk in the front door of the barn, there's a large entrance with small kitchen, office, restrooms for users of the barn and some beautiful doors to take you out to the main part of the barn where the horse stalls are...
This is just one side of the barn...note the balcony for later.
Back at the main entrance to the barn, there's a hallway and entrance to the flight of steps that leads to a beautiful apartment...
From the wood ceiling and beams to the walls of windows streaming in sunlight, it's a gorgeous space that you'd never expect in an equestrian barn!
My favorite area of the apartment is the kitchen with apron sink, glazed white cabinetry, beautiful granite, and cage-light pendants...
It's a beautiful view with a large pond and horse pastures through the windows...
Past the main living area, there's a cozy bathroom tucked under the eaves...
All along the opening to the stairwell and along the way to the bedrooms is a huge granite counter with wine fridge...perfect for entertaining!
The end of this area splits into two bedrooms and there is a large set of doors opening up to the balcony over-looking the horse stables...
The two bedrooms also have a little surprise with windows that allow you to look down upon the horses as well...
It's surprising that there are walk-in closets in these rooms too. It helps to have the space under the eaves to maximize. It's a beautiful living area in such an unexpected place! I so hope you enjoyed the tour...
