In the meantime, I'll leave with a few pictures of my brother's wedding that was held right here in NC. The bride and groom reside in Seattle, WA, but decided to have the wedding here because most of the immediate family now lives on the East Coast. The plan was for my mom and I to handle all the wedding details for them, but since I was in the middle of moving, my mom stepped up and planned most of it...thank goodness! The flowers, colors, and details were inspired by those beautiful vintage tablecloths that you see. I had a fun time setting up and was able to capture a few shots throughout the day...
Beautiful, loose bouquets of wildflowers were arranged in blue mason jars for the table centerpieces along with other vintage bottles with flowers, pinwheels, and sparklers...
The wedding was at the clubhouse in my mom's subdivision so we decorated it up the best we could. My step-dad, Jon, borrowed my large chalkboard that I use for shows and created some great chalk-art for the occasion!
My mom also sewed tons of pennant banners from fabric that we selected at Hobby Lobby...
The wedding was small and fairly casual with plenty of BBQ, fresh fruits, salad, and instead of a large wedding cake, they served these delicious cupcakes...
One of my favorite parts of the reception was the ice cream sundae bar in which the bride and groom served up ice cream for the guests in custom Mr. & Mrs. aprons. It was a different spin on the traditional reception line! Here is my daughter pretending that she was going to be serving...
Yes, the ice cream bar had it all, and it was by far, my girls' favorite place to be :)
It was a really fun to have the family together for a few days and celebrate!
I think the flower girls had as much fun as the bride and groom too!
Thanks for following along through the ups and downs these last few months. I know there are some more hurdles to get over before we are settled again and I'll try to keep up the blog the best I can!
