Like most of us women, I love fresh flowers! It would be the ultimate luxury to have a fresh bouquet in the house at all times.
I always stop and smell the flowers whenever I see them in shops and stores...it's a quick pick-me-up, but I rarely indulge in cut flowers. A potted plant, yes, but flowers that will wilt in days, I feel a bit guilty about purchasing even though they bring so much joy and life into the house.
Are you with me on this? Do you indulge every now and then or feel guilty about buying flowers?
Luckily, my husband brought me these creamy roses home last week for Valentine's Day. I've been enjoying seeing that beautiful sun illuminate them when I walk by and it's been making me think...
Kristen tulips are my favorite, and now that they are in season I pick up 2 bunches every week. One for the kitchen and one for my family room. Your right, flowers do send a happy vibe through a house and puts a smile on my face every time I walk by them! Yours look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat is one reason I love to grow my own flowers in the spring and summer. I love hydrangeas! Fresh ones are so beautiful! Your roses are so pretty! Do you see a rose bush in your future? :) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!! I totally remember you from the Farm Chicks Show! My friend, JoDee, (from Duchess) had a booth right next to yours when she was a dealer there...i think it was 3 years ago!!! I am sad that you won't be back there! Your home is absolutely beautiful, and I love your clock collection!! Hope you love your new life across the country!! How are your parents doing with you being so far from them?? (As i recall, they were at the FC show helping you!!) Glad I found your blog!! Best wishes!! Diana Thompson
ReplyDeleteI'd say you deserve them. Every mother does but then I do get the part about feeling guilty. I love tulips and hydrangeas. I need to buy some tulips and my garden gives me lots of hydrangeas. I also get lots of roses but not until summer. I love flowers.

LOVE fresh flowers in the house! One of my favorite stops of all time was the fresh flower market in Seattle - so amazing!
