Thanksgiving Table Setting

Now that Halloween has past, are you thinking about how you will set the table for Thanksgiving?

I've been playing with a neutral color scheme with touches of gold after finding an antique gold-rimmed goblet set an an estate sale a few weeks ago.  I thought I'd share some tablescape ideas that are both rustic and glam that will hopefully inspire you this upcoming Thanksgiving...
I always start my tablescapes with an idea that I want to use for the centerpiece(s).  In this case, I had just found two tall glass domes that I simply propped up on a pair of ruffled cake plates that I already owned.  I made the small bouquets under the glass by filling small iron urns with nature-inspired materials like cotton, pheasant feathers, petite pinecones, and walnuts (glued to floral picks).  My girls love finding acorns and always bring them to me to use for decorating. I simply scatter them throughout the table or they look great in glass vases with candles.
Since I already owned the gold chargers, I pulled them out and paired them with my cream dishes and added a simple glittered leaf (from the Christmas ornament section at Walmart) to dress up the napkins.
I fell in love with the brown-striped burlap ribbon from Hobby Lobby and used it for table accents on each end of my long trestle table as well as lots of small white pumpkins, pinecones, raffia, and wooden candlesticks...

Now it's just all ready for the feast!

What a perfect Thanksgiving table! I just might have to "borrow" some of your ideas, like that burlap ribbon and lacy leaf on the napkins.

First I am hoping that nasty Sandy stayed away from where you live? If you got hit by any of it hope all is ok at your house. That nasty storm was a real stinker, no respect for anything or anybody.
Second, I love your table, it's breath taking, gorgeous and so welcoming looking. Who wouldn't want to sit down at that table and partake of one of life's wonderful happenings. You are such a talented young woman, enjoy your blog very much.
I had no idea HL had that burlap brown striped ribbon. I'll have to find out if they have it here in CO. Sure hope so. Have a wonderful weekend.

Sophia, your Thanksgiving table is so beautiful. I am planning to do a similar one with gold-rimmed plates, gold chargers, and cotton for a centerpiece! But I don't have any of that vintage gold-rimmed stemware that looks so gorgeous on your table.
