Most of it is very hilly, but there's perfect patch of flat ground with beautiful overhanging branches...just perfect for hanging some party decor...
Just some handmade yellow tissue poms and antique pub bottles with some greenery and flowers tucked in makes a simple statement.
Add a table and some chairs (I painted this one in ASCP French Linen with touch of dark wax)...
some fresh flowers and a few simple place settings...
and of course, some yummies and sweets!
With the summertime heat setting in, don't forget the ice cold drinks!
And there you have it...a simple summer gathering!
On another note, if you're in the market for a table and chair set for your dining room, breakfast area, or soiree :)...
this one is available! Just send me an email if you're interested.(or know of a great place to sell furniture from in the Raleigh area).

Such a gorgeous setting and the tablescape is stunning. Hugs, Marty
How do you get the lemon slices to stay on the side of the jug like that? Brilliant - the setting is perfect!

Gorgeous, Kristen! I love the bee design. I just used a bee and wreath image on a pillow I did for our master recently. That is such a great spot to set up a table and chairs {and it makes for great pictures, too!}.
What a lovely environment to dine in! And the furniture - absolutely gorgeous!
Visiting from Common ground....I could sit there all afternoon! What a pretty setting! Love the chair covers with the French Bee...one of my all time favorite graphics!
Blessings, Lorraine
I always love seeing furniture sitting outside. There is just something so comforting about it. The decorations hanging from the tree are such a sweet touch. Found your post at Stuff and Nonsense. Hope you'll stop over to Quirky Vistas and visit.

Totally beautiful! It is amazing what paper flowers hanging from the trees can add! Good luck selling this table and chairs! I am partying with you at Common Ground!
This is a gorgeous magazine-worthy post. I love the yellow with the green backdrop. It makes for a a very romantic setting.
Oh Kristen, this setting is amazing and looks like a magazine shoot!
Wonderfully beautiful post... wish I had a place for the table... it is gorgeous!
What a bee-utiful setting (sorry I know that's really lame). The upholstery and finish make this dining room furniture so attractive. Did you by any chance find the burlap bee vase at Ross? I saw them there in several sizes and passed them by. Next time they were gone!

An outdoor soiree! how fun!
Lovely painted furniture. I just did a French themed Birthday soiree. Lots of burlap, ruffles and rhinestones. I used antique French postcards as party invites and place cards.
Darling outdoor setting.
Thanks for sharing.

Lovely yard and setting - looks like a welcoming "cool spot" on a hot day. The hanging flowers are so sweet
Hi - That is so lovely! The setting, the accessories - the beautiful table and chairs - plus the goodies!
I have a very similar table (different chairs though)that I bought at an estate sale. The top of the table is beautiful parqueted and distressed walnut) - but it has some damage (done by the owner always keep a plastic tablecloth with the felt backing on it)...so I would want to do something with that first. But I love your use of the French Linen. I bought a can - and so maybe I will try that for the legs and apron - and for the chairs...due to your inspiration!!
Lovely project! Hope you find a buyer...shouln't be hard. I, like you, am looking for a place to sell my furniture as well. I'm on Long Island.

I was just wondering what your way of getting the graphics on the fabric was? Are you using transfers of the solvent method, or some other way entirely? Please share.
It is just lovely! What a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors!!!
Oh my word!! I am coming from Brittany's Thrifting Post. Clicked on your name and ended up here. What beautiful work!! Do you have a shop here? Do you sell out of your home? I want to come shop!! I want those movie theater seats in turquoise. .wow!! I am in Raliegh too.
This is just stunning! Please tell me you and your girls or some friends had lunch here. I want to spend all day at this table in the woods!
